Atomizer Racing Injectors: Technical Guidelines and Requirements
Fuel Pressure Guidelines

Maximum Base Fuel Pressure:
The base fuel pressure for Billet Atomizer Racing Injectors must not exceed 90 PSI. Exceeding this limit may result in engine or injector damage. -
Definition of Base Fuel Pressure:
The specified 90 PSI refers to the maximum base fuel pressure measured before any applied boost. -
Boost-Referenced Fuel Pressure:
When using a 1:1 boost-referenced fuel pressure regulator, fuel pressure increases in direct proportion to boost. For example, with 50 PSI of boost, the total fuel pressure at the injector equals the base pressure plus the boost pressure.

For injectors rated at 100, 160, 235, and 275 lb/hr:
43.5 PSI base + 50 PSI boost = 93.5 PSI total at the injector. -
For 500 lb/hr injectors:
90 PSI base + 50 PSI boost = 140 PSI total at the injector.

Custom sizing and calibration are available upon request to optimize duty cycle and engine performance for a wide range of applications, from 100 lb/hr to 950 lb/hr.
Fuel Filtration Requirements

Mandatory Filter:
A 10-micron fuel filter is required and must be installed between the fuel pump and the injectors (not between the fuel pump and the fuel tank). -
Methanol Applications:
Use a compatible 10-micron stainless steel methanol-safe filter assembly. -
Gasoline Applications:
Use a compatible 10-micron fuel filter. -
Note:
Billet Atomizer is developing a proprietary filter line for future availability.
Injector Cleaning & Maintenance

Pre-Installation:
Thoroughly clean all fuel lines, fuel rails, and fittings prior to injector installation to prevent damage from debris. -
Ongoing Maintenance:
Refer to the maintenance instructions included with your injectors. Regular flushing is recommended, especially when using oxidizing fuels.
ECU & Electrical Requirements

Driver Requirements:
Injectors require dedicated drivers with 8 amp peak and 2 amp hold (low impedance). -
Voltage Recommendations:
For injectors above 275 lb/hr, a system voltage of at least 14 volts is required; 16 volts is recommended for optimal performance. -
EFI Compatibility:
Contact your EFI manufacturer to confirm system compatibility with these requirements.
