Choosing the right injector impedance can make all the difference for your build. According to our latest social media poll, 62% of customers prefer high impedance injectors, while 38% go with low impedance.
With Atomizer, there’s no need to compromise. Our FURY ST injectors are low impedance by default but can be configured as high impedance, custom-built to virtually any size you need in precise 5 PPH increments at no extra cost—from 40 PPH to 1,525 PPH. If high impedance is your choice, we have you covered from 40–275 PPH with our NEW SD220 Siemens Deka upgrade and the NEW BC210 Bosch upgrade. That means you get the perfect match for your setup, whether you’re fine-tuning a street car or smashing records at the track. As always, every injector we build is 100% American made, field serviceable, and totally rebuildable—backed by world-class customer service.
High and Low Impedance: Know the Difference
When it comes to fuel injectors, impedance—measured in Ohms—plays a critical role in how your engine management system interacts with your injectors. There are two main types:
High Impedance (Saturated): Typically 5–16 Ohms. Compatible with most modern ECUs. Does not require special drivers.
Low Impedance (Peak and Hold): Usually 1.2–3.0 Ohms. Requires specific “peak and hold” drivers. Offers unique performance advantages.
The Atomizer Advantage
Low Impedance Injectors: Most of our lineup at Atomizer is built around low impedance injectors. Our FURY ST and soon-to-be-phased out Atomizer 3 series are engineered for motorsport and extreme horsepower setups, with a resistance of about 1.6 Ohms. These injectors are designed for high-boost, high-horsepower applications running on methanol, ethanol, gasoline, or nitromethane. The need for peak and hold drivers allows for superior control at high duty cycles and precise fueling at low pulse widths, resulting in smooth idling. We use military-grade stainless steel bodies, dual Viton O-rings, and Bosch EV1 or Jetronic/Minitimer connectors for broad compatibility. Every injector is fully rebuildable, individually flow-tested, serialized, and matched for consistency and reliability.
High Impedance Injectors: For those who prefer saturated injectors that work with standard ECU drivers, we offer out-of-the-box high impedance options like our new BC210 (2200cc/min) and our new SD220 Siemens Deka 220 replacement that can be made in either low or high impedance. These injectors are perfect for high-performance builds where you want to avoid special driver boxes. They use standard Bosch EV1 connectors and dual Viton O-rings for easy installation. Our proprietary internal design ensures rapid response and consistent spray patterns. Like all our injectors, they’re fully rebuildable and individually flow-matched.
